London Super Comic Convention commences next week on Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th February. Hopefully the event organisers have improved upon last years event. Complaints included long queues and waiting times to get into the hall as well as a limited amout of creators attending the event. This meant the hall was mostly vacant space with tables of artists/publishers around the edge.
LSCC 2012 was the first time this event was hosted, being the 2nd comic convention in London dedicated to comics from mainstream and independant publishers alike. Despite issues the event was enjoyable with some interesting panels including one with useful advice from Mouseguard creator, David Petersen.

The highlight though of last years event, was the appearance of Stan Lee. Stan walked around with fans and gave a most enjoyable panel event that was packed with people of all ages. It was great hearing his story on how his comic career started all those years ago and despite his age, Stan just keeps on going.
There is already an impressive list of artists and creators confirmed for attending the event this year. This hopefully means a packed hall full of creators with interesting panels planned.
Attendees include: Neal Adams, J Scott Campbell, Mike Choi, Mahmud Asrar, Simone Bianchi, Brian Bolland, Doug Braithwaite, Ian Churchill, Gabriele Del’Otto, David Finch, Bob Layton, George Perez, Esad Ribic, Bill Sienkiewicz, Adi Granov just to name a few!!
